The reserve has free roaming lions, buffalo, elephant, rhino, hippo, giraffe, crocodile, kudu, eland, hartebeest, lechwe, nyala, bushbuck, warthog, aardvark and many more animal species. It is an amazing experience to get up really close to the amazing elephants, rhino, hippo and lions on an open game viewing vehicle. You are almost guaranteed to see the big 4. The leopard is very elusive.
The tour starts at 3pm with a game drive and afternoon coffee or tea enjoyed with small breads ( that have been cooked on an open fire) butter and jams. Then a night drive to get up close to the lions followed by a delicious pot dinner, vegetables and dessert. Wine, beers, soft drinks and dinner are all included in the price. This is all enjoyed around a large open fire called a “boma”.
The game warden will then take you on a spotlit game drive to view more nocturnal animals on the way back to the reception area or your accommodation where quite often you can hear the lions roaring. A very exciting experience.
We suggest overnighting in the reserve and there are different accommodation options. Your game warden will collect you at 7am for another unforgettable game drive followed by breakfast.
